Skin Care

In addition to toning the muscles, I've also started to think about my skin. Particularly my face. I wanted my skin to be all smooth and soft for the big day. Previously, I had the routine of washing my face in the morning and night and putting on SPF15 foundation/moisturizer in the morning. I decided to up my game again. I did some research, and took most of my finding from Paula's Choice Recession Proof Beauty.

I also scoured wedding bee for helpful hints from other brides.

Here is my current facial skin regimen:

Clean and Clear Deep action cream cleanser

The recommendation was actually for the foaming facial cleanser, but I couldn't find it. I will probably try to find it again when my current face wash runs out. I use this everyday morning and night. It seems to do the job just fine.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Control 3-In-1 Hydrating Acne Treatment
I use this three times a week as an exfoliant. I have definitely notice my skin is tighter and smoother after using this, but this may just be because I've never used an exfoliant before. I'm really liking the effect so far.

Clinique
Mild Clarifying Lotion

I use this as a toner or astringent twice a day. I thought it was interesting that in the reviews the mild clarifying lotion was the only one suggested. It is their least powerful astringent for very dry skin, but it seems to do just fine.

Sea Results Eye Mender Plus

Due to lots of late night study sessions, I have bags under my eyes. I wanted something to help keep that are hydrated. I haven't noticed any visible change, but I'm not expecting my bags to go away. I'm just trying to get them to be maybe a tinsy bit less visible.

Cetaphil
Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF15

I already had this before I looked at all the recommendations. It's not bad, and it has SPF 15. However, it does smell like pickles. It doesn't bug me, but Mr. Camrah exclaims PICKLES! every time he notices it.

I also tried to take a multi-vitamin everyday, but I'm not as dedicated to this endeavor. I have heard one other piece of advise that I haven't tried yet. Apparently, adding a packet of Emergen-C to your day can help your skin to have a nice glow. I might try this trick as it gets closer to the wedding.

Other than that I'm just trying to drink water and get 7-8 hours of sleep a night.

Has anyone else started to increase their skin regimen?
