Wedding dresses part two

When I last blogged about my wedding dress search...

I fell in Love with this dress.

Then, I realized it was WAY out of my league. I knew I couldn't get the dress, but the couture dress did teach me several things about wedding dresses.

The first lesson that I learned from this grand dress was that I wanted my dress to have a unique flair to it. I love when someone goes with a classically elegant dress, but I was pulled to dresses with lots of drama.

The second lesson I learned was I love tulle. Wedding dresses made from tulle have a very romantic feel, and I started to look for any dresses that had the light and airy fabric I was looking for.

The third thing I learned from this dress was a-symmetry= great look. Most of my every day clothes are very symmetrical, but I really liked an unexpected a-symmetry in a wedding dress.

After my first introduction to wedding dress boutiques, I waited until my family came up for a weekend to make a second outing. I made appointments at two different shops before my family came. The first boutique we went to was I do bridal. I do bridal was recommended to me by a friend. The store was in the city and didn't have a lot of room, but they had great costumer service. I told my mom, aunt, and sister to pick out any dresses that they wanted to see me in, and of course, I picked out dresses too. My favorite dress that day was a signature g dress.
This picture isn't great because of the yellow background, but its a ballerina style dress. I really liked the tulle skirt, and the embellishment was leaves that floated into the skirt. It felt very romantic, but it wasn't completely right.

The next day we headed over to Bellevue to go to La Belle Reve. The store was very nice, and I had a great time trying on their dresses. My favorite dress screamed unique, and I loved how fun it was. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any pictures of it. The dress was by Gino Cerrueti. It was copper with tiers and a lace up back. I loved the fun and playful fell of this dress, but I was a little worried about how it would go with my pretty traditional wedding. I was also a little worried that Mr. Camrah (being a traditional guy) wouldn't like it.

This dress became my favorite so far, but it still wasn't quite right. I still had the Romona Keveza dress stuck in my head. Even though I hadn't tried it on and the price was way out of my budget, I couldn't think about wearing anything besides that dress on my wedding day. I wasn't sure if I would be able to find a dress that I liked nearly as much as the Keveza dress, and I was starting to the worry that I would have to settle on my dress.

Did you worry about settling for your wedding dress?
