By now you must be thinking that I was obsessed with the Keveza dress, and I probably was a little.
After emails to seamstress and a few shopping experiences, my friend from work convinced me to take off half a day to go dress shopping. She was going to pick up her wedding dress and wanted me to go with her.
The dress shop is in a suburb north of Seattle. I would have never been able to make it up to the shop without her. They had a LOT of dress, and it took us a little while to look through everything. I tried on a few dresses that we picked out, and the whole time the sales assistant was watching my expressions she said. She gave me a dress to try on, and I remember first pulling it out of the bag and seeing the ruffles at the bottom.
I think I got that feeling that most brides get when they find the dress. It was definitely not what I was originally pulled to. I would not have picked it out myself because of all the lace, but I loved it when I put it on. The store did not tell me the designer or style number of the dress, but after some online investigation I found out it was a mori lee dress.
I wanted to check with my family before I made the final call. I was going down to Portland the next weekend. I showed them the dress. They all approved. The next week I made a few calls to bridal boutiques closer to Seattle. I found that I do bridal (a shop I had already visited) had the dress. I tried on the mori lee and the other dresses I liked from that store, and I still liked the mori lee. I ordered it that day. Bonus, it cost less at I do bridal. I ordered it that day.
Not the best picture, I know. It was definitely not my initial image, but I love how the uniqueness of this dress. Leaf details and Ruffles. What more could I ask for?
Was you dress what you expected or did it surprise you?
