Nom nom nom CAKE!

While food is probably my number one wedding priority, the cake was not. Don't get me wrong, I want a great cake. Its just that the cake vendor was the last vendor on my list. I was burned out and didn't want to make any more calls/emails by the time we got to cake. I'm pretty sure free cake samples is really the reason we have a cake.

We meet with three cake artist. The first was the one that I was most excited for, but that cake was the one we liked the least. It seemed to be a more upscale (read: expensive) bakery that worried more about the look of the cake then the taste. The baker did have great vision though. She drawled up a mock cake of exactly what we wanted right then!

Ribbon on the bottom (green) with swirly decoration. We also wanted to add a little dimension to our cake.
Circle, square, circle, square. Although the design of our cake was assisted by baker 1. We visited baker 2 and 3. We really liked baker 2's cake, but we had to try baker 3. Baker 3 came so highly review and after the cake tasting it was obvious why. Great cake for cheap. Kingsley cakes is a wife and husband team that makes cakes for the greater Seattle area with out gauging prices. They started by making their children's cakes and somewhere along the way they made it into a business. The cake tasting was done at a Starbucks where there was TEN whole pieces waiting for us to try and take the left overs home. We decided on three different flavors of chocolate lovers, chocolate chip, and lemon raspberry.

Even though I wasn't that into the cake finding process, we ended up with an amazing cake for an amazing price.
