I've decided flowers= simple. Here is a list of all the places that I was thinking of using flowers in our wedding before meeting with florists:
-1 Bride's Bouquet
-1 toss bouquet*
-4 Bridesmaid's bouquets
-1 groom and 4 groomsmen boutonnieres (Groomsmen may have pocket squares instead of flowers)*
-1 flower girl halo
-1 petals or pomander for flower girl (dependent on church)*
-20 aisle flowers (every other row of pews)
-13 bear leaves or lotus leaves for centerpieces*
-3 long steam flowers for head table*
*Possibilities. Not sure if it will make the final cut yet.
I estimated $800. This is well under the floral estimate every website has given me according to our budget. To keep with the simple theme, I was planning to have the flower girl's halo and aisle flowers be completely made of baby's breath.
I really like the baby's breath trend. Its so fairy tale to me.
The bouquets are where the real money in this budget is at. I too like every other bride have fallen for peonies.
These flowers seem to be highly coveted in the wedding world, and they have a very specific available season. AKA $$$.
I also enjoy roses.
I think these would be great for the bridesmaids because they come in more of a cream color.
My favorite flora inspiration pictures isn't a bouquet, but if I could make it into my bouquet I would in a heartbeat.
I love the leaves and ranunculus.
You will have to wait to hear the end to this flora story, but lets just say that a few things have changed since meeting with 4 florists.
Are you singing the praises of simple flowers, or are you going all out?
